His life long dream will come true this Saturday as he suits up as a Fighting Illini and heads to his first college football game as a player.  It is going to be an adventure of a lifetime and he is proud to be a part of a fraternity with his teammates that no one can ever take away.  Although, there are many new faces in terms of players and coaches for the Fighting Illini, this year, the tradition of Big Ten football remains the same and he is honored to be apart of it.  

I can’t tell you the number of people from all over the country that have reached out to us and have shown love, support and wisdom.  Thank you just isn’t enough, but thank you all for the role that you have had in helping my son achieve his dreams.  Isn’t that all any parent ever wants for their children?

It was so nice having Savannah come visit Camp Rantoul for Chandler’s birthday.  Chandler’s roommate for the summer Spencer! The warm up for Saturday’s scrimmage at Memorial Stadium. A sample of the preparation that recievers go through.  Chandler and both of his roommates from the summer.  They are all southern boys at heart! I can only shoot from the stands from now on…so thanks Illinois Loyalty for these up close and personal shots.  The team is nothing without fans.  Thanks Illini fans for your loyalty.  I didn’t take this shot either, by the way, but I love seeing these guys having a great time!

I ran into a former bride and groom at an Easter Egg Hunt that I was photographing this spring for one of my good friends and loyal clients.  I had no idea that the former bride and groom went to church with my good friend and that they had added a beautiful little girl to their family.  Also, I had no idea that they had been receiving Christmas cards for years, from my friend/client, and had always wondered who her photographer was.  

It took a little while, but we finally got our schedules together and I am proud to introduce you to Miss Ella.  Congratulations Skipper and Karley.  Ella is beautiful and so full of life just like I remember your wedding day being.

It has been a blast shooting for Ann of Pretty Girl Couture this year, and I almost did a back flip when she pulled out these bridal pieces…Yippee!!!  They are simply stunning and expect so much more in the future.

One of those friends is a very talented designer here in the Midwest.  After reconnecting, we learned that her sister lives about 10 minutes from me, here in Chicago.  I was so excited and couldn’t wait to get together when she was in town visiting her family.  Little did I know that one of her favorite designs was done here in Chicago and she would ask me to capture it to be published in the near future.  Yippee…it was so much fun and so gorgeous.

I don’t often get to shoot beautiful interiors, and really had a blast!  ENJOY!!!

When Rebekah originally mentioned that it was going to be held under an oak tree at a friend’s home, I initially thought that I better get some good props going, but she failed to mention that it was an expansive and gorgeous piece of property and that it was going to be a perfect, August afternoon, southern wedding.  Oh and did I fail to mention that they are the most fun loving couple that I have ever met? 

Here is a small list of words to describe their day: 

Southern, sunshine, lovin, worship, laughter, tears, family, friends, antique car, patchwork quilt, bare feet, braids, linen, wild flowers, candle light, oak tree, open field, praise band, Lord’s Supper, dancing…you get the idea.  The list could go on and on. 

Because I am a better picture taker than a writer, here is an image that sums up their sweet union.  Make no mistake that the two have now become one, but there is a third person present and responsible for this union.  His presence was felt Saturday night and will be visible to all that see this couple together.  

Congratulations to you both.  I love you, and hope you are enjoying your time together on your honeymoon.

ENJOY!!!

Last Saturday was a day that I had been looking forward to for a very long time.  Jeremy and Cassie are such a special couple and it doesn’t hurt that they are simply gorgeous and my camera can’t get enough of them.  Being a part of their wedding was a real pleasure, and even more special because Cassie and her family are so dear to us.  

After a summer shower, the sun peeked its rays back through and I thought that this image captured the happenings of the day, in terms of weather, and especially captured the essence of their new marriage.  

So here is a little sneak peek and lots of love for you both.  ENJOY!!!

I have to tell you that it was the hottest day that I can remember in Atlanta in a long time, and within two seconds of starting the shoot I was soaking wet, well okay maybe I was just glistening a small amount.  Nonetheless, Rachel remained glamorous and without a flaw.  She never complained, and honestly I never saw one small amount of glisten on her anywhere.  These girls…they really are amazing in every way. 

 Thanks Rachel for rocking this shoot, and a special thanks to your mom for coming along and helping us out.  I have to tell you that was the best Vitamin Water that I have ever tasted.  You guys are the best.
