Where Did The Lazy Days of Summer Go…

Remember the days when summer meant no school, relaxing by the pool and spending down time with family and friends. Those days don’t seem to exist any more, at least not around here. It is already the middle of June and things haven’t slowed down one bit.

Sorry that my post have been so few and far between, but I am getting to them as quick as I can. It seems like sleep is a little over rated.

Anyway, last week I had the privilege of hosting David Beckstead and an awesome group of fellow photographers in my home for a eye opening workshop. It is always a growing experience to spend time with other photographers and learn their way of seeing the world and how they run their businesses. What a great couple of days we had together.

A special thanks to our volunteer models Daiva and Kassie. They spent the day in dresses and heels with 10 photographers following them around downtown Chicago and a general public constantly asking “Who is that…Should we know them…Is this America’s Next Top Model”. You get the drift…it really was hilarious. Also, I want to thank all of my new friends, Tom Edwards and his wife, Collete (Raleigh, North Carolina), Christopher, Rick, Abby, Ryan (better known as Google Maps Man), and the attorney amongst us Wendy. I had a blast with you guys.

Here are some of my favorite images. Thanks, David for making me shoot in a completely different style than I am accustom to ALL DAY LONG! You really pushed me out of my comfort zone. ENJOY…

I was wondering if this had occurred yet, and it looks like it turned out great!!! Would have been one of my top picks of things to do for the year! Keep in touch! – Mike

You are amazing!!! I had a great time in your home! And your images turned out amazing. I made my own slideshow of my favorites from the day, and you can see them here. Of course, you had a lot in there I just loved!

Thanks again Tricia for hosting such a great workshop. I had a wonderful time, and learned so much from all the talent that surrounded me.
