A Georgia Graduation Party…

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and that all of my Atlanta friends enjoyed a “small” taste of a REAL winter last week!!!

As of Friday afternoon, I am the mother of a high school graduate! YAY! So while we were in Georgia over the holidays, we thought it would be fun to have a little party with some of our old friends and our family! There is nothing like being home for the holidays, and this made our trip even more memorable. What fun memories! Thanks to my friend, Devon Morgan, for coming out and manning the crazy booth photos. It was a unique way to capture everyone at the party and everyone there was a real sport about it! These images will make a great scrapbook for Chandler and I can’t wait to see the book when my scrap booking friend, Leanne, works her magic with all of the images!

So the real news is that this Thursday afternoon we will take Chandler to COLLEGE! What??? All I have heard for 18 years now is that I am not going to be able to survive that day. Well I guess we are about to find out! Please pray that I survive, but most of all pray that his college experience at the University of Illinois and that his time as part of the Fighting Illini football team will glorify God, and that he will follow the path that God has laid out for his life! The 18 years that he has been on loan to us have been filled with so many blessings. I can’t imagine what God still has in store for us and for him! I LOVE YOU SON! Go reach for the stars! ENJOY!!!

Those are fantastic photos, Tricia! What a creative and fun idea. I just got all teared up looking at the ones of you and Chandler. And Thursday must have meant yesterday … wow!! What an amazing achievement for Chandler. Congratulations to him – and you! I hope you are "surviving" right now. Love – the Goodballets!
