Honestly, if you know me at all, you know that I LOVE surprises as much as anyone, but every once in a while there are people that come along in your life that take a simple “thank you” and create moments that take your breath away and make you realize that genuine goodness of people still exist.
Laura Thomas, of Pretty Presets, is a woman that I have never met, but I know without a doubt that she is one of those people that just ooze goodness in all that she does. When she hired me to showcase some of her fabulous presets, I had no idea that I would be working with a true angel. Like always, I struggled with some of the technology (yes, it was my major in college), but she guided me through with graciousness and patience beyond words. So when a package from World Vision showed up on my doorstep last week, I was simply blown away. Maybe I should have sent her a “thank you”, but NO her thoughtfulness just never ends.
So today, at the young age of 45, I learned a lesson again about the genuineness of people. Not only did she thank me, which wasn’t even necessary, but she donated in MY name to a wonderful organization. Those are the type of “thank yous” that make an impact on so many lives.
Laura you are an angel and you taught me a valuable lesson today. Thank you for simply being you.
