The Photographer’s Child…

Anyone who has been around this blog for any length of time must often think to themselves “what must it be like to be the photographer’s child”?!?!?  I am certain that it has its perks, but most of the time it has a tendency to make you the ultimate excuse maker.  Here are just a few of my favorites that I have heard over the years:

It’s too cold outside

I have homework to do

Too much to do today let’s try tomorrow

I have nothing to wear

Why do we have to do this every year

Use some of my sports pictures

Nobody else has to do this

BUT, my all time favorite is “MOM YOU HAVE TEN MINUTES”!  And you may even hear the photographer throw in a “BECAUSE I SAID SO”!!!

Here’s the thing though.  There is no one in the world that I enjoy photographing more, and every session always includes at least one GOOD laugh.

This year was probably the busiest year of all and with only 3 days at home before heading back to school tomorrow (yes on Thanksgiving Day).  I couldn’t have been more pleased that the photographer’s child made a point to be sure and get this session in before leaving.

In the end, we ALWAYS wind up with a card that is sent to you and yours with lots of love and good cheer, and a few memories for the photographer that she will cherish forever.

Happy Wednesday!

ENJOY!!!

Only a little sneak peak, but the BESTEST ones will be in the card:)!Someone recently asked if I still do black and whites, so here is one for good measure!

Good to know all these things in advanced. My Luke just turned 1 but he’s step in front of my lens and his Dad’s lens many many times. Your son is very handsome indeed 🙂

Love this! He doesn’t look to happy but looks very handsome! I should send you some of my pics of Daniel. We always have to trick him into smiling. The worst this year was the very last game of the Senior Season and I had asked photographer ahead of time to get a pic of him with the Grizzly. The photog picked as he’s crying cause they lost and it’s the last game and when he’s hugging his buddies. I’ll copy you on it. It’s a beaut!
