Family Photographs…

After several days of pouring rain and snow, I am heading to Atlanta to soak up the bright and sunny days that y’all are enjoying.

Last week, I visited with my family in Tampa.  We had talked about setting aside some time to do photographs of my sister-in-law on this trip, but it turned into a FAMILY shoot including her parents and my brother.  I silently freaked out when we came up with this idea.  Maybe it’s a total photographer thing that you wouldn’t understand, but there is something about photographing my family that made me stop, breath and fill fully alive.  It’s the love, the relationships, the history, but most of all, it seemed to be the opportunity to tell THEIR story that almost brought me to tears.  I am so thankful to have the opportunity to travel and meet some simply wonderful people, but there is no place like home and there is nothing like the energy of photographing my “own people” to help me REALLY embrace the power of a photograph.

ENJOY!!!

The sun haze in the top one matched with the hat reminds me of London fog. Then you get to the RED telephone booth and that truly sets the London feel. Very pretty.
