So the minute that I stepped off the plane, there was something about Dallas that felt like home to me. There had been so much time spent discussing all the details about this trip. You know like the shoot locations, meeting location, wardrobe, make-up, all the little details and in my own mind the BIG details of WHAT WOULD I BE WEARING! But, I had no idea that the minute that we all actually saw each other’s faces for the first time that my socks would be ROCKED off. It was a bond of sisterhood that words just can’t seem to explain. A group of women that were total strangers except for our time in cyber space, but an instant feeling of “you know what I mean without words” just happened. They were all stylish, gorgeous and the constant chatter and laughter were deafening. It didn’t take long for me to stand still and just enjoy the energy and fixate on each one of them individually. Each unique in her own way, but all united by our love for ALL things photography.
It’s two days that I won’t soon forget. Friendships are a beautiful gift and this group of women solidified that there are many reasons that I LOVE this job.
I can’t wait for Orlando, Chicago, Grand Rapids and Atlanta, but I gotta tell ya…the bar is set high after my time in DALLAS people! If the best is yet to come, count me SO in.
