Our ACC tour…

Ahhh summer, where have you been all my life?  Each year I try to remember to drink this season in and sometimes I picture a very frigid winter day just to make sure that I appreciate what summer has going for it!  These nice warm days are time for just “being” and enjoying our lives with family, friends and soaking up the great outdoors.

Having said that, I know that I have been a neglectful blogger the past couple of weeks.  However, in my own defense, it wasn’t for a lack of not having anything to blog about or for just kicking my feet up and enjoying summer, but traveling with my son has really seemed to occupy a good portion of my time and I’ve enjoyed every single minute of it.   It may have officially been the busiest, most traveling 2 weeks that I have ever had in my life.

SO without boring you with a bunch of words, I am going to slam you with a ton of pictures.  We covered Georgia, Alabama, Florida and North Carolina.   This trip was ALL about football, but we took advantage of good ole summertime and visited with family, old friends and even made new ones along the way.   And at the end of the road, I thought to myself that was a CRAZY schedule, but the memories are FANTASTIC…

Oh and a special “thank you” to Coach Robert Wiener of Plant High School, in Tampa, Florida.  You will not meet a more wonderful friend.  He is a ROCKSTAR head coach of one of the most successful football programs in the state of Florida.  I really want to take a minute to brag on him and it has nothing to do with the successes he has had on the gridiron.  He has a heart of gold and if you get to know him, you will quickly find that beneath his hard exterior lies a humble man that has and will continue to change the lives of so many young men.   His gifts are endless and without any obligation to do so…that’s the mark of a true friend.   Coach…you are THE BEST!!!

There is something about the appeal of football…it’s the spirit of the game.  Watching football creates a sense of camaraderie.  As does playing it, of course…people striving together toward one goal, the thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat!

ENJOY!!!
