As an adult and certainly when I was a kid, I am known to enjoy holidays/celebrations for more than just a single DAY! I never ever want them to come to an end even going as far as saving my Halloween candy until it was a rotten mess in the top of my closet, and you can bet that I am the one hiding a gift on Christmas morning so that I am guaranteed to be the very last one to untie a bow and crumple up the paper. Maybe I go just a little too far…OK not maybe, I DO go too far and I think my parents and especially my siblings think that I was dropped on my head at birth. Birthdays, holidays and even Fridays were always a pretty big deal in our house…SO, this week I chose to celebrate Memorial Day all week long because I am an adult now and I CAN.
Again a special thanks to all of you in the Armed Services and to those friends and family that sacrifice so very much for each of us that call ourselves Americans. Because of each of you, it’s my goal to never take for granted the splendor that is my life…
