Nana and Papa…

This post may seem like it has no real purpose, but wanted to let you know that I’m behind on posting and let’s just say that it’s all because it’s summer…that’s my story and I’m stickin to it!

I can’t seem to find myself settled in one place for very long and well you get the picture…

During this little hiatus, I am taking time to nurture all of the parts that make up me and in keeping with the theme of spontaneity, I spent a wonderful day last Friday with two of the sweetest people that you will ever want to meet…

Let there be no mistake, these aren’t just any people…they are a couple that had a whole family full of their own children, but they found a way of stretching their hearts just a little larger to make time and space to love one that wasn’t given to them by birth, but by chance.  Yes, that would be Moi!  A good portion of my childhood was spent in their home and with their influence.   And when I say influence, I mean HUGE influence…I learned so much about happiness and family through simply observing and mostly experiencing life with this family.  It may have only been a handful of years that I got to spend with them, but the outpouring of wisdom that I collected during that time has certainly helped to make me, ME!

No post is complete without a photo and no REAL cameras were allowed (per Nana) on Friday, but I did grab a phone photo and I must admit that their smiles make me smile…I saw this saying posted somewhere the other day, and if I could only say one thing that I know to be true about Nana and Papa…this would be their story:

if you live to be 100

i want to be a hundred minus a day

so I never have to live without you!

XOXO

I am one VERY lucky girl.

ENJOY!!!
