Thankfulness…

This Thanksgiving I deeply want to remember that there are two sides of thankfulness-to give thanks for what we receive, while also finding joy in giving, in order to create thankfulness in the hearts of others.  This year a gift from my own parents seems to come to mind.  I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have the confidence to be exactly who I am today had it not been for their voices of encouragement and a full understanding that the sky was the limit to do most anything that I wanted to do.

And with that, let me take a minute to say that I am thankful for my camera, my family, frozen yogurt (coming from a total connoissseur), farmhouses, not having to lift a finger to cook today or really most any day of the year.  Nope, cooking is NOT my thing, but I totally appreciate all of you that get the utmost satisfaction that I’m sure it can provide.  Today, I am toasting all of you and your willingness to share you lives, family and laughter with me each and every year…may you all be surround by love today and throughout the coming year.

During my move last year, I stumbled on this photograph from my childhood.  I’m not sure that my parents could have ever imagined the path that the little girl in this photograph would choose in life, but I sure am thankful that they were willing to cheer me on the whole entire way.

 Happy Thanksgiving.

 ENJOY!!!
