Maggie…

There are so many wonderful reasons to love summer, but two of my favorite reasons are gardens and high school senior sessions.

Maggie’s session was extra special because she was born and spent her childhood in our little farmhouse.  Her mom told me that the bottom left picture brought her to tears because as a little girl Maggie used to look out that exact same window waiting on her daddy to come back up from the barn.  Who knew?!?!?  I just thought it would make a pretty image and now it is so much more meaningful for me.

Here is a quick little sneak peek from our session earlier this week, and a huge THANK YOU to the incredibly talented Keith, from Gloriosa, for this stunning floral halo that has now become a treasured family keepsake.  Honestly, his talent knows no bounds.

ENJOY!!!

You know I have to share a little laughter and sun flare…more to come.

Romantic Homes, August 2014…

I am so honored to have photographed this quintessential Southern homestead for the pages of this month’s Romantic Homes Magazine.  This was another collaborative project with my talented friend Debbie Basnett of Vintage Scout Interiors.

Please go grab yourself a copy and learn more about the sweet owner of Three Hearts Farm and fall in love with its history.

Summer MIA…

I’m sorry, sweet friends, for completely ignoring my blog for the last month or so.  I’m currently working on so many amazing projects and I can’t wait to share all of them, but for now I’m trying to live moment to moment and take the time to be present.  Bear with me just a little longer as I soak up this personal time and I hope that you are all doing the same and having a wonderful summer.

ENJOY!!!

A Scratch on the Nuzzle…

Good Morning, Thursday.

We just returned from our morning wander and making new friends.  Around these parts a simple scratch on the nuzzle is all it takes to make someone’s day.

PS…the words still haven’t come for my upcoming article…I DID stop for dinner, went to Boston, The Cape, Fenway and still there are no words, but TODAY IS THE DAY that I won’t leave this keyboard before the work is done regardless of how long it takes or hungry I get.

ENJOY!!!

Up Since the Crack of Dawn…

Maybe it’s because of a fabulous weekend and the one that I spent it with, or maybe it’s the fact that it’s Monday of a short work week and there’s much to accomplish in 4 short days, but I woke up bright and early this Monday morning and I didn’t even need a wake-up call from these handsome fellas.

Thankfully I’ve been asked to write an article for a feature in one of my favorite magazines again, and although at this point, I’ve been sitting at this keyboard with my thoughts wandering aimlessly, I have faith that the words will eventually come and this keyboard will be singing…fingers crossed that it’s before suppertime or before I become fully aware of how desperately I want to take a nap.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

ENJOY!!!
