The Dickerson Family…

Now that this busy, busy season has finally settled down, I can not wait to share some of our fun portrait sessions with all of you.

This session was especially near and dear to my heart because I’ve had the real pleasure of capturing so many special moments for this sweet family and have loved watching them grow over the years.  These cutie-pie, fun loving, “all boy” little boys melt my heart, and as if Kristy wasn’t already the deserving princess in her household, she’s expecting another little boy very soon.

These are the blessings and joys that make life worth living, and getting the opportunity to freeze them in time for sweet friends just makes my heart full.

Daddy .&. Mae…

This little moment frozen in time is the exact reason that I love this job forever.  Mae is such a beautiful little girl and she’s growing up in the blink of an eye and a quick snap of my camera shutter.  Seeing her once a year and creating these treasure is a real pleasure and always entertaining.

Bull-Y…

Long story short, I am no longer married to the ridiculous idea that I am some sort of cow/bull whisperer.  What started as an innocent trip to the Longhorn pasture in hopes of catching some great images on a foggy afternoon ended with a new respect for these larger than life animals.

I don’t have an up close picture of the BIG black bull because by the time he was up close I was fully aware that he didn’t take too kindly to me or my camera, but you can see him looking all small and weak here in the first shot and walking away with his posse feeling all victorious in the last shot after he ran me out of “HIS” pasture.

The most amazing thing about this afternoon was that my fellow trespasser was encouraging me to go back inside the fence because the big black bull-y was just wanting to “play” with me.  Thank goodness I have 3 full years of “farm-girl in training” experience under my belt and quick access to Google which let me know that a hard staring, wrinkled nose, head shaking, growling, snot blowing, pawing at the ground bull is not exactly wanting a play date with either me or my camera.

In all honesty, I LOVE the longhorns and I hope to get a chance to go back to this pasture really soon, but next time I am taking the farmer with me and possibly a great pair of running shoes.

AND, if you would like to see the enormous size of the big bull, please feel free to check out my Instagram feed (@tricialee).  There is a shot on there that I bravely captured with my iPhone, once the big fella had shown me who was the real boss, from the safe side of the fence.

Horseback Riding on The Trails…

Most days I struggle with choosing a favorite anything.  Usually, I just love everything, and if you happen to be one of my clients, then you know that I am being totally honest here.  However, this was one of my favorite days of this Christmas season, at one of my favorite places (if you haven’t treated yourself to a visit to Serenbe please put it on your intentions for 2015), with my favorite son (phew, that one was easy since he’s the only) and his favorite gal.

ENJOY!!!

Tricia,
I didn’t think it was possible to capture the perfect joy that Jace and Brittany exude when they’re together, but you did it. You are so talented and I thank you for being there to give them memories of that day that will last a lifetime. I heart you!
