DGS Mustangs vs. York

After a close call last Friday night,the Mustangs showed that they were ready to play against a strong York team and came away 2 and 0. It was a beautiful night in Elmhurst, and “Friday Night Lights” is alive and well for another season of Mustang football. Everyone is excited about the strong Mustang start to the season, and another big win over the York Dukes. Because York is a top contender in the state rankings, we expected this to be a very tough game. Fortunately, the defense stepped up again, and it was exciting to see the offense put all of the pieces together. It was an extremely solid performance by the whole team, and one that they all should be proud of. As it was so eloquently put by one of the parents, “It sure is starting to get fun now!!!!!”. Time to look forward to next Friday night, and the HUGE crosstown rival game against Downers North. Some how it always proves to be a tough game and it draws a huge audience. Good luck with preparation this week guys. We know you will come out ready again.
