It has been a busy and AWESOME weekend. Friday was a great opportunity to get out in this wonderful industry that we work in and meet two of THE BEST. One of Chicago’s own, Bob Davis…he photographed Eva Longoria and Tony Parker’s wedding last year, and Mike Colon shared some of their tricks of the trade with all of us and boy was it a learning experience. It is incredible in our industry the network that we have with other photographers. We lift each other up, celebrate each others accomplishments and around every corner there are new friends and people willing to support you in your career. There were so many things that I learned from being a part of this workshop, but the theme that will stick with me always is “Pay It Forward”. Thanks guys, for the new friendships and for spending the day sharing yourselves with all of us. Also, I want to give a shout out to my new friends that I met there. From Chicago, Kenny Kim, he is a great photographer that is traveling with Bob and Mike documenting these workshops and doing most anything that they need him to do (paying it forward). Be sure to check out his blog to see some of the fun images from our day. From Columbus, Ohio, David and Karla Banks, Kimberly Potterf, also from Chicago, Joseph Chen, and from Omaha, Nebraska, and winner…in my opinion…of “Best Business Card”…you have to see it…it is plastic and AWESOME…I will never throw it away, Shane Melenbacker. You guys were super, and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Hello – Thanks for visiting our site!
Our very own Tricia Lee Whitmer has a knack for wholeheartedly evoking REAL emotion from all of her clients.
Don’t be surprised to spot her around town scouting for the perfect backdrop…an alleyway with interesting shadows or an historic building with peeling paint.
Tricia's work has been featured online by Stampington & Company. Publications include Artful Blogging, Romantic Homes, Well Styled Homes Bed and Bath and Well Styled Homes Flea Market Style.
Simply put, Tricia is a non-traditional photographic storyteller, with a talent for conveying visually the passion and emotions of people. Tricia’s ideal client is someone looking for an artist, not merely another photographer with a camera.
While that may mean she isn’t the right fit for everyone, she truly treasures the creative relationship and bond that she creates with her clients.
Tricia believes that all relationships are a blessing. She believes that everyone is wonderful and special in a unique way. Because there is no one exactly like you, Tricia delights in creating an experience for her clients that is unique to them…and that generates a one-of-a-kind end product.
Tricia is mad about any flavor of frozen yogurt…and she hasn’t met a slice of veggie pizza that she doesn’t adore. You may find her from time to time decked out in gym attire, because a daily workout is a must. And, most importantly, to know her is to know that her son is a blessing that she thanks God for everyday. It is the love that she has felt as a mother that inspires her to shoot every session from her heart.
