Since 6 of the last 9 Friday nights that we have played this year have involved rain, we decided to play on a gorgeous Saturday night. A nice night for football and WOW!!….What an exciting game. Without a doubt one of the best DGS football games in quite a while. Congrats to all of the Mustang Players, Coaches, and Staff for a thrilling win in the first round of the playoffs for the first time in 5 years. Not only was it a win, but a come from behind victory which is even better. It certainly had all of us fans nervous, but we will take it!!!!
Both the offense and defense stepped it up when it was required and the Hit Hard Gang pulled out a 22-21 victory. Must have been the Mohawks!! The Stangs will take this momentum into the second round of the playoffs at “recent arch rival” Bolingbrook. Over the past three years, the Mustangs and Raiders have played three games to a score of 43-43. With Bolingbrook winning two to DGS’ one. It is our turn!!!!
