This wedding was absolutely AMAZING. To be honest, I wasn’t real sure how we were going to pull it off. It was an outdoor wedding with over 200 guest and a small indoor venue for a backup. On my way to the wedding, I was driving in the worst storm that I have ever been in and thinking to myself “this is going to be the day that I find out what I am really made of”. When I arrived, the wedding coordinator said “the ceremony will be outdoors no matter what and by the way the power down there has already gone out”. So my assistant, Sarah, and I start lugging equipment in the pouring rain and lightning. The whole time we were laughing to ourselves about how people think that wedding photography is such a glamorous job.
Well let me just say that this is a “glamorous” job and I couldn’t have been more blessed than to be a part of this wedding. The clouds parted just as we began to take pictures and it was an incredibly perfect evening as the sunset shows. Not only that, but this couple was the most relaxed and in love couple. Never did I see Jeanine sweat or complain about the rain, and Luke was so in love with Jeanine that I don’t even think he noticed the weather. Thank you guys for allowing me to share in this glorious day and for reminding me that your wedding really was about the two of you and not everything that was going on around you. We had such a blast and can’t wait for you to see your photos.
