Of all the hats that I wear, and like most of you…there are SO many, the one that has given me the most joy and pleasure in life is the one that is celebrated today. For anyone that calls herself a MOM…it doesn’t matter if you actually gave birth or simply gave your heart…the only requirement is that you have known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment and the satisfaction of being a MOM, you are the REAL heroes. And not just today, but every single day…THANK YOU!!!

These images were captured this weekend in Kansas. This is the little boy/man that has been the light of my life for 19 years now, and has allowed me the privilege of calling myself MOM. It doesn’t matter how old they get nor how quickly they get there…there simply is no bond like the bond between a mother and her child.
