Gracie (Jr. T.E.E.N. Georgia 2012)…

While I’m writing this post from my front porch swing on what feels like the coolest summer morning of the year, the Mama Cow across the road is moaning, no crying, because they just took away one of her calves to be sold.  This has absolutely nothing to do with this post, but I have to share it because I am such a softy and it kills me every single time that they take one of their babies.   Not only does the Mama Cow cry for several days, but her cry has a way of stirring up the whole herd of cattle.  I am still learning the tricks and traits of a true FARM GIRL, but I gotta tell ya this one gets to me every single time…poor mama cow.

This post has nothing to do with farm life, but is all about a REAL Georgia beauty queen.  It was such an honor to be the photographer who captured the official photo for Gracie Neely, Georgia’s current reigning Jr. T.E.E.N. Georgia 2012.   I’ve known Gracie for several years and watching her blossom into a beautiful young lady both inside and out has been such a pleasure.

Dabbling in make-up, hair ointments, wardrobe and glitz is foreign to my son’s world of uniforms, dirt, cuts and bruises, but boy I could certainly get use to it and had a great time with Lori and Gracie last week.  Maybe I will travel with them in June to Nationals just so that I can soak up all of the girly, girl happenings that I’ve missed out on the last 20 years.

Best of luck, Gracie…continue reaching for the stars…XOXO!

 ENJOY!!!
