Many of us will visit local beaches this summer to rest, relax and simply get away.
When talks of our own personal beach trip began, naturally the photographer in me started scheming about one last beach photo session with my son before he turns 21. Needless to say, he made it very clear that I had the wrong son (yes, he is my only child) in mind and that nowhere in his plans for this trip was there time for a photo session.
As we arrived at the beach, I decided to take my camera along just for the fun of capturing the beautiful colors that surrounded us. My priorities shifted from personal portraits to lasting mental memories, and photos of all the things that I simply found miraculous.
Who says adults can’t learn new tricks and still have FUN?
Yep, I broaden my horizons and changed my idea of what special time together looks like, and it was very apparent that my son was delighted that I wasn’t torturing him with my camera.
I love to hear a good story. Everybody does. This is a little taste of our story titled “Beach Trip 2012”. Here’s to many more mental memories, and happy endings (and just a few photos…).
