Seizing Summertime and the South’s Best Fests…

Sweet Summertime…the beginning of summertime is by far my favorite time of year.  Usually, it is the perfect time of year to soak up the sun, but the temperatures have yet to reach the scorching numbers that late summer can bring.  In keeping with the rest of the weather that we have seen this year, this summer has been an exception and has come in with record setting temperatures and decided to do things in a NEW way and making no apologies for it at all.  It’s left most of us seeking some sort of body of water to spend time in.  Whether it’s a lake, the ocean or even a backyard pool, you can bet that it will be the best way of guaranteeing a cool down this summer.  However, as synonymous as water is to summer, so too is the perfect summertime festival.

Last weekend I spent Sunday afternoon at The Sunflower Festival in Rutledge, GA, with one of my favorite besties.  YES, it was above average warm, but that in no way slowed us down nor kept us from having a great time and making lots of memories.  I’ve promised myself that after 4 LOOOOOONG winters in Chicago, that I will never ever complain about it being too HOT…Summer 2012 you are putting me to the test, but I’m lovin’ every minute of it and have yet to decide what will be the most memorable moment you leave behind.  Bring on the HEAT…not to worry, we’re still chasing those summertime adventures, and glistening our way through them all with amazing memories!

 ENJOY!!!

On the hunt for one of these games for my back porch…isn’t it FAB?!?!?
