Photography in Chi Town….

In a effort to get established in a new city with a new client base, I have been reaching out to other photographers in hopes of getting their input on how things are done in the Midwest. An amazing young photographer, Sarah Anne Barlow, responded this week and mentioned that she and a group of her friends were going to be getting together on Saturday for some photo talk and a shoot afterwards. Of course, I was in. It was a great afternoon and an even better shoot. We went to Oak Park (a really cool shopping district) and just got creative with the models until sunset. I hope that you will enjoy the images and I want to say a special “thank you” to all the guys for a great time. There will be a group picture to come later. It was The Best!!!

Tacie & Brent

I absolutely love couples that will just have a blast on their wedding day regardless of the circumstances. Tracie and Brent had mentioned up front that they love creative photography and that they would be willing to do whatever it took to get some amazing photographs of their wedding day. They had even set aside an extra hour between the wedding and reception for some fun play time. Who knew that the little town of Dahlonega (I don’t think this town had ever seen anything like us before. There were on lookers on every corner. It was incredible!) and a great rain storm would make for such an AWESOME afternoon. Tracie was willing to tour the town not only in her wedding dress, but also in the rain. It was such a blast. Mike and I put on a clinic the entire afternoon. The day flew by and the memories of this couple will not only show in our imagery, but I will remember them always for the special afternoon that we all spent together. Wow!!! I really do love this job!!!!

Just A Little Camera Shy…..

Engagement session are always one of my favorite types of sessions. It is a great relaxed way for me to get to know my brides and grooms and have fun with them. This couple is especially special to me because Colleen’s family are very good friends of ours. We have had this session scheduled for a while, and I have really been looking forward to it so that I could meet Steven. I have heard so much about him and he was such a great guy. Right away, he was sure to let me know that he wasn’t really crazy about having his picture taken, and that I needed to be sure to focus on Colleen on the wedding day. Surprisingly, by the end of the session I am pretty sure that he had just as much fun as Colleen and I did. He was a real trooper and as you can see this couple are two great people that are just fun to be around. I can’t wait to come back to Atlanta in July for this wedding. Stay tuned for some great wedding shots.

My Baby Brother….

I was thrilled when Lisa called to get this session in before I left for Chicago. We had the pleasure of photographing Isabella for the holidays last year and she was such a natural in front of the camera. At that time, I knew that there was going to be a sweet little baby brother coming in March, and I couldn’t wait to meet him. It was love at first site on Sunday. He was a sweet little “snuggle baby”, which you guys know I just love. After holding him for a while, I was certainly ready to take him home with me. As you can tell, these kids are so photogenic and we had a great time. Thanks guys for allowing me the pleasure. You only get one chance to capture these sweet little moments.

Expressions…..

Can you believe the cute faces of these kids? We had tried to do this session a couple of times before, but for different reasons had to keep changing the date. Even though it is getting a little warm here, yesterday turned out to be a perfect day. I know several of you have gotten one of our Gina Alexander handags and that was the intention of this session. Who knew we would have so much fun and that these kids would have so much personality. Savannah absolutlely loved the camera and the camera obviously loved her, however, Samuel wasn’t sure that he felt like doing this whole deal. Could these pictures of his cute faces be any better. We had so much fun and Samuel laughed, cried, pouted and most of all became my buddy. I hope tht you enjoy all of these amazing faces.

You guys all know that I love feet shots!
