KARLEY & SKIPPER

Karley and Skipper are such a fantastic couple. They know how to be silly and have a blast, not to mention that their love was infectious. We knew we were going to have a lot of fun because Karley mentioned up front that she loved creativity, but the day was just magnificent for all of us. We were allowed to be as creativity as we wanted to be and they were just themselves (as the pictures show). Nothing phased Karley (even the fact that her mom forgot her veil). She was still laughing the whole time, and it turned out be no big deal because one of the bridesmaid’s mom just ran by and picked it up on her way. Everything went off without a hitch.

Many of you may have visited Chateau Elan in Brasselton, but their wedding day there was incredible. The weather couldn’t have been better and the grounds were absolutely immaculate. Thanks for the super fun Saturday guys. You are the best!! I hope you had blast in Mexico. Remember “What Happens In Mexico….Stays In Mexico!!!”

See, the veil did show up and she is laughing!!

Chocolate Dress To Match Her Chocolate Eyes…

To say that I absolutely ADORE this family simply isn’t enough. I have been capturing special moments for John and Tammie since Tammie was pregnant with Sophie.
They are one of the funniest couples, and now families that I have ever worked with and are always willing to do whatever creative thing I come up with. Tammie is one of my frequent blog checkers and always appreciates the creativity. I can’t wait to come back and see how much Sophie has grown on her first birthday shoot. I hope that you will see in these images love, laughter and fun because that is what I think about when I think about this family. Thanks for hanging out with me yesterday guys. It was a blast.

I think that we had TOO much fun for Sophie!!!

C-H-I-C-A-G-O

The time is drawing near to make the big move. You guys have been absolutely incredible about providing me with your tips and experiences about Chi-Town. Here is just a few things that I have learned:

-FIRST AND FOREMOST: IT IS GOING TO BE COLD!!!! (Okay maybe that is the part that I am not looking forward to the most.)
-The place for pizza is Giordano’s. (You know I am going to miss Mellow Mushroom.)
-There are TCBYs everywhere. (Yeah!!!)
-The museums are a must see.
-We can’t wait to visit Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. (As of now, we have tickets to several games this year and my whole family is coming Labor Day weekend for a game.)
-Maybe I won’t go to so many Bears’ games. The dome has spoiled me here in Atlanta.
-Traffic is much more doable than Atlanta and everyone takes the train.
-The YMCA is not the place to workout. It looks like I may be joining Life Time Fitness, which we have here in Alpharetta. However, there are a lot of parks to run in and they aren’t as hilly as they are here.
-The Midwest is very family oriented, which is a real plus for me.
-One challenge we had was finding a church (not many baptist in the Midwest), but it looks like there is a great church called Willow Creek that has an off campus location near us. We will keep trying.
-Garrett’s is the place for the BEST popcorn.
-The town can’t be all bad. After all, it is the home of Oprah.
-The list goes on and on.

Some of you have even been generous enough to put me in touch with your family and friends. I look forward to making friends with them and also photographing their families. Thank you all for your knowledge. Please keep the tips coming, and I will see you often here in Atlanta.

TRUE BLUE

Okay, I know we work with a lot of children, but these blue eyes stole my heart. Trey was so expressive and every time I took a shot I couldn’t get over the blue of his eyes, as you can see for yourselves. He went from the cutest pout to the biggest laugh without hesitation. Not only that, but I love the embroidered outfits that Candyce dressed him in. It was a perfect day and he was a perfect model. Here are just a few of my favorites.

Sweet Baby Girl

Have you ever seen a prettier head of hair on a baby. This family was so much fun to work with. We got started and before we knew it an hour and a half had flown by. I think we wore Kate out because she finally fell asleep. She couldn’t have been any cuter or more cooperative. It felt like I had known Marnie and Steve forever. Thanks for spending Sunday afternoon with me. I know you will love the shots.
