UConn Spring Game 2014…

What an unbelievable week to be a UConn Husky!

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams won national championships and the fan base and student body watched with excitement every step of the way.   It’s a ‘once in a lifetime” experience and something that I know the football team is proud to be associated with.

Everything is NEW with this year’s football team, and for us personally everything is the last time.  This is the last time that #10 will wear a red jersey, but if you have to have a last spring game, then there couldn’t have been better weather, a better fan turn out or a more electric atmosphere and enthusiasm for all things UCONN as there is right now.

Here are just a few shots that I snapped from my “mom perch” in the stands.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Spring…Romance In The Air…

It’s the perfect time of year for lots and lots of love and romance.  Everything is fresh, new and in full bloom, and only photography allows us to push pause and freeze these special moments in time.

In honor of several upcoming weddings and engagement sessions, this is just a bit of what I have been working on lately.

ENJOY!!!

A Lovely Workshop

Sheepish…

I believe that I’ve mentioned several times on here that Instagram is my new favorite “time dump”.  The beauty, that many of the artist share through their images, is never lost on me, and one of my all time favorite accounts is that of Benjamin Hole.  His way of portraying his family farm, on The Isle of Purbeck, completely resinates with me, and I knew without a doubt that it had to be one of our destinations during our trip to England.  Couple that with some of the entertaining books that I have read by Catherine Friend about her experiences raising sheep here in the US, and I was on a mission to photograph sheep and nothing else really mattered.  That mission was accomplished and so much more.  I can’t say enough about the beauty and inspiration that I found every minute while in the countryside.  It was simply captivating.

SOOOO…I have images of sheep, for days, that I am very slowly making my way through, and I don’t seem to mind at all reliving every single minute of it.

ENJOY!!!

Garrett William…

Sweet young mothers…YES, you, can you please slow down and soak up the little moments even if they include a loss of sleep, a toddler that seems to be forever in the middle of a tantrum, hours of homework that you absolutely aren’t smart enough to ever complete and even the moments that include a few tears of frustration at this most important job that each and every one of us often feel unqualified to do.  Try extra hard to look beyond the mess and focus on the beautiful moments because just as soon as you feel like you are finally getting the hang of it our babies spread their wings and fly.

Hold tight to your babies whether they be quite young or older than you care to admit…the one thing that is certain is that BABIES JUST DON’T KEEP!

ENJOY!!!
