McClain (snow day)…

SOOOOOOOOO…schools are closing, the bread and milk are flying off the shelves of the grocery stores, and it’s all because the weather forecasters have mentioned that there may be a CHANCE of the “S” word in the forecast for today.  Yes, I must be drinking the kool-aid myself because I just put the camera batteries on to charge and I’m sitting on ready to capture/go out and play in the beautiful white powder that we have been promised.

The part of me that lived in Chicago for 4 years finds this rather comical, but the very real Georgia girl in me feels excited like a child to get to see maybe a 1/2 inch of snow.  I’d say there’s a 50/50 shot that we get a dusting, but around these parts it warrants a day of “winter storm” watching on every TV channel and panic on the faces of everyone living in the state of Georgia…PLEASE, for all of our sakes, LET IT SNOW so that we don’t look as silly as we actually are.

Here’s  a little sneak peek of the fun shoot that I had last Saturday.   I can’t get over McClain’s little peter pan collar dress…she was just so adorable.

ENJOY!!!

Country Living…

Most of the time I take for granted the peaceful rhythm of country living.  It often takes a visit from friends to push me to explore even further the beauty of this place that we gladly call HOME.

You know, the kind of place that takes “go play outside” to a whole new level regardless of your age.

ENJOY!!!

Alrighty, ironically I am off to the city for a wonderful weekend with friends, but there’s no place that I’d rather be than somewhere down a long dirt road in the middle of farm country!

Sweet Ava…

Good gracious alive…her determination and willingness to try anything just to say “hello” left us all giggling until our bellies hurt.

Happy Friday Fun-day, y’all.

ENJOY!!!ava

Tricia, Your snow images are perfectly stunning. I am such a fan of you and your style. I follow a lot of photographers, but it’s you who consistently takes my breath away. Thank you for your gift and for sharing it with the rest of us. Meredith

Thank you, Meredith. That means so much coming from you. You just made my day…xoxo!

Live The Little Things…

Yes, I am still here although sometimes it feels like I’ve permanently lost my voice for this space or even Facebook for that matter.  As I’ve mentioned before, there’s just something so easy about posting day to day living on Instagram (TRICIALEE).  I’ve made so many new friendships, found constant inspiration and even added beautiful locations to my “must visit” list while traveling this year.   It still blows me away that all of this can happen based solely on someone’s photographs.

One of those sweet new contacts is Brandi and I couldn’t be more honored to have her feature one of my images on her beautiful blog.  She is such an inspiration and if you too are always looking for a little inspiration, you just don’t want to miss her feed.

SOOOO until my voice breaks through its current barrier, which I promise will be very soon because I have a million zillion images of some pretty fantastic clients to share, we gramers will be graming and would love for you to follow along.

Happy Wednesday!

ENJOY!!!

SAVORING SUMMER IN THE DEAD OF WINTER…

I know it isn’t even February yet, but we all need a small dose of summer in January…don’t we?

Yes, there’s something enchanting about winter and the bleak, russet landscape suddenly draped in winter frost.  The stillness and quite are magical and I, for one, love waking up early just to soak up the rare moments of peace, but my heart will always belong to the warmth and delicious harvest of a Southern summer.

So whether or not it’s still winter in your neck of the woods or there is a slight emergence of daffodils from the frozen earth in your backyard, I hope this post, styled by my talented friend Debbie of Vintage Scout Interiors, will put a nice warm smile on your face.

ENJOY!!!
