I’ve always had a soft spot for that very last hour of daylight right before the sun goes down. And there’s just something extra special about sunsets on this farm. They are so peaceful and probably our favorite time of day to be still and catch up with one another. Most nights you will find us outside until there’s not another drop of light left in the sky. We may be taking a last minute dip in the pool or front porch swinging, but you can surely bet that we are enjoying every second of the stillness and peace and quite that seems to be missing during our busy days. Instantly when the sun sinks down beyond the horizon we can begin to hear the song of the whip poor will and the fireflies lighting up the sky. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
Long live summertime and the magic of that golden hour.
